Engagement adventure shoots, are a great way for you to get comfortable with the camera, and have a lot of fun whilst I capture some beautiful photos in awesome locations.
I used to be of the belief that engagement shoots were a little bit cringey, and a little bit awkward. Being in a public place dressed in your best, and being asked by a photographer to pose for pictures which you really aren’t comfortable with, whilst the local dog walkers watch on.
So I changed the approach! Flowy dresses and high heels look lovely, but I want you guys to feel comfortable and get mucky boots and wild hair! This was when I branded my Engagement shoots as Adventure shoots. I have a love of the mountains and every inch of Snowdonia, so it’s likely I would try and arrange the shoot there. But as it’s an adventure, I want to go somewhere that you have never been to before. The unpredictability and surprise, brings out the natural enjoyment between the two of you.
Getting to know you…
With many of my wedding couples, we will have our initial chat, maybe a coffee and some email exchanges on the lead up to the wedding, but that’s it until your wedding day. An adventure shoot is a great excuse for us to hang out for a couple of hours, talking about your plans and ideas. The shoot gets you comfortable with me and having your photo taken, but also gives me an idea of who you are and build a friendship before your wedding day.
The cost…
You can add an adventure shoot as part of your wedding package, or you can choose to add it at a later date. The cost is dependant on location but starts at £200 .
You will receive all your edited images from the shoot by a private online gallery where you can download them all and share.
AMY MAHAN – We had our adventure shoot with Richard on Wednesday and he is absolutely amazing at what he does. The location that Richard suggested (Snowdonia) was breathtaking and not only did Richard take stunning photographs, he also took the time to show us around and take in the beautiful views.
