Paddleboarding Bride at Sunset: A Dreamy Delamere Event
Picture this: a stunning bride, an Along Came Eve wedding dress, a serene lake, and a paddleboard. Sounds a bit far fetched doesn’t it? Well, it happened, and it was every bit as fun as you can imagine!
It all began with a whimsical idea that popped into my head whilst I was at home in North Wales, looking for inspiration. I couldn’t help but envision a bride gracefully gliding across a lake on a paddleboard while the sun painted the sky in shades of pink and gold. So, I made some enquieries, and before I knew it we were turning this mad thought into a reality!

Enter Ryan from Delamere Events in Cheshire, my accomplice in this bridal adventure. When I approached him with my out-of-the-box concept, he didn’t hesitate for a moment. It’s not what you’d usually see from a Cheshire Wedding. Not only did he agree to let us use his picturesque venue, but he also introduced me to Cassie, a previous bride of his, who was ready to don her spectacular Along Came Eve wedding dress once more to make this dream come true.
But that was just the beginning of the dream team. I enlisted the talents of Vivid Floral Designs to create a stunning flower crown and bouquet using dried flowers that were nothing short of incredible. For Cassie’s hair and makeup, Poppy Michelle was the absolute go-to, ensuring that our bride looked incredible.
Of course, we couldn’t do without some behind-the-scenes magic, so Photography by KLS joined us to capture the moments that unfolded.
We kicked off the photoshoot in the golden wheat fields as the sun began go down. The warm, glowing light was the perfect start to our adventure. But the real fun and laughter happened as we moved to the banks of the lake.
Now, here’s where the hero of our story, Ryan from Delamere Events, took center stage. With unwavering enthusiasm, he waded into the water to assist Cassie onto the paddleboard. The wadeing then turned into an evening swim! Maybe he was just looking for an excuse to cool down on a warm summer day, but we’re grateful for his commitment to making this idea into a reality!
Delamere Events, nestled near Chester, is one of my all-time favorite venues to photograph at. The incredible teepees and the beautiful lakes provide the most incredible backdrop for any event. Plus, the party vibes are always top-notch!
So, there you have it—a bride, a paddleboard, a stunning dress, and a breathtaking sunset. It was a day filled with laughter, adventure, and the kind of magic that can only be found when dreams meet reality. Thanks to a wonderful team of talented individuals who helped make this crazy thought into a reality.
